As the new year approaches, I said goodbye to my reliable Izzy (my Nokia E61i) and welcomed with open arms, my newest baby…
Meet my Sofie.
Coming from the E61i and then having tried the E71... I’d say the keypad is so much better with my Sofie... but then again, it’s only my opinion. Whatever floats your boat, right?
But I loooove the feel of the somewhat bulging keypads on Sofie; it just makes texting/forwarding messages and leaving comments on Facebook so much fun.

Meet my Sofie.
This is my Nokia E63 from Kim. Another sexy red gadget! Gorgeous isn’t she?
Well, it is! Especially for the price! This is probably the most practical thing I ever bought in my life. Hehe. I never even considered purchasing the E71 when it came out in the market because it was “expensive” with features I don’t even use. And there's not much difference between the two. Check out this chart below:
Okay, so maybe it's 3 mm thicker than the E71... So? Does 3 mm really bother anyone? You got the same display, same processor, same wifi/bluetooth features, different audio jacks (Sofie has a standard headphone socket!!!), no front camera though and only 2 megapixels (Heck, I have other cameras! Duh!), and also Sofie is made of plastic. :P Just because it's plastic, it doesn't mean it's CHEAP, okay?! Touch it! You'll see... Besides I don’t do well with shiny metallic stuffs... Have you seen MaiPod?
HAHA! Looks like the cat had fun scratching. Anyways, Sofie’s front is a metallic-finish and the back cover is a soft-touch finish, you know, the "rubberized" feel. It’s really beautiful, even though it’s just plastic… and it’s pretty lightweight! ‘Nuff said.

Two points that make the E63 the “cheaper” alternative are because it lacks internal GPS and it does not support HSDPA data. I couldn’t care less about these so I’m good without them! As long as it’s 3G, it’s perfect for me. Another feature I would like to emphasize is the flashlight function that allows the camera’s LED flash to be used as a torch. Pretty handy especially when you’re going to the movies or if you misplace your lighter with LED light. The only downside I can think of is the missing USB cable… as the package doesn’t come with it, but that’s not really a problem when you have Bluetooth! And no it DOES NOT come with a pouch like the E71. So I got myself a matching red one instead.
And so in conclusion, let me just say that Sofie is LOVE. I mean, come on... with this beauty in your hands, doesn't it just make you feel like a dyosa?!?!? LOL! ^_^ The world is in your hands... with WIFI!!! You can do everything -- get busy with social networking, check mail, take pictures, talk for hours (thanks to the kick ass battery life!), and stand out with either the ruby or ultramarine color.
Now start your new year with a bang... only with a Nokia E63! :)
