We are all too familiar of those lines from the old TV commercial. We even used it during school plays. We grew up in a world where black coffee was not something we regularly drank. Back in high school and college anyway.

The world we live in, the way I see it, is still pretty much the same. I am pretty much the same, believing that no man is an island and that somewhere out there, there is someone that is meant to for you. Boy, am I glad to have found THE ONE person for me already. No more searching and waiting for Mr. Right. And he was even right here all along! So girls, take heed. The one person for you just might be there in front of you. Open your eyes. Don't take too long or search far and wide.

You guys pretty much know the story behind Ramen Girl and Noodle Boy. I guess I won't have to tell it again.

Okay, not entirely true because I also danced during my 18th birthday. But that was 10 years ago!!! Our wedding reception was full of surprises. Not for us but for our friends and family. It was basically our show that night. We sang, we danced, we made everyone laugh and cry. We were stars that night!



We gave it all our best shot even though we weren't able to rehearse much or even practice for more than one day. Our friends and family cheered and made merry that night.



Young or old, we all celebrated.



It was fun to begin with!



Lots of laughter and some tears...



I never thought being married made life more meaningful. I never really dreamed of a grand wedding but our wedding was beyond my wildest dreams... because it was simply PERFECT.



Perhaps perfect may even be an understatement. It was a fateful day. Everything went smoothly. Even the sun shone in spite of the stormy weather forecast. It was as if everything fell into place.



As a bride, I had no worries. Everything was taken cared of... thanks to our parents, our friends and our coordinators. I have never had a day so wonderful in my life. My wedding day. It was simply fabulous!



People came from all over the country... some from different time zones even just to be with us on this special day. We wish to thank everyone for coming and partying with us!





It truly was memorable.





I feel so blessed... and I've never been HAPPIER!!!



I welcome this new chapter in life with open arms and an open mind.  I do realize marriage goes beyond all this glitz and glamour of the whole wedding... it will take a lot of work, I know. Marriage is a whole new world indeed. And this chapter of my life has only just begun. But with the man I love, Mr. Right, my NoodleBoy by my side... I know we can make it. Just like we have in all the times that we've been together.

Cariño Mio, te amo...

I must admit that when I was a little girl I loved to watch weddings and always wondered what it would be like to be the bride. Although I didn't dream of it to the point of planning it all in detail (not really that kinda girl... tee hee!) but it was always such a sight to behold. I am surrounded by friends and family who are wedding planners, wedding gown designers, and wedding singers. I guess you could say I'm pretty blessed then.

Last Saturday, Noodle Boy and I had our ceremony of commitment, AKA the civil wedding. There were more or less only 50 people with us, very close friends and family, to share this momentous and private occasion. Although it had rained earlier that day, the power of prayers proved to be pretty strong as God and the sun wrapped its warm rays around us that fateful afternoon.

Pastor Jay imparted wise wisdom and Judge Clinton Nuevo of RTC Branch 12 presided over the marriage rites. I was told that this civil wedding will be more binding than the church wedding we will be having as well.



This really is the ideal wedding for me... just a few people, great food at La Vigia Restaurant, and it's set on the beach. Not on a white beach though but still the weather was perfect and Ormoc Bay boasts one of the most glorious places to watch for sunsets.



Looks straight out of a postcard huh? :) I got more pictures to show you guys but it's not ready yet. I had Kuya Dougie take most of our pictures because there was absolutely no way we could take pictures ourselves (which I would have wanted if it were only possible). Also I have a video to show you but again, it's not ready yet. ;)

So anyways, I also wore my first FitFlops (ever!) -- the Limited Edition Anna Sui designed Fiorella.



Brides are meant to enjoy their weddings. I didn't want any high heels to hurt my feet as I danced the night away and celebrated with my friends and family. And besides, it was a perfect match to my Korean dress.

So this I say, before becoming a mother and carrying the miracle of life inside of her...  the essence of being a woman is the chance that one day she will become a bride.


And that day for me has come! And boy, am I glad to be wearing super duper comfortable FitFlops on my feet! Who would have thought? Who would have known? Guess it's true what they say... Expect the unexpected and love comes unexpectedly.





This is a lifetime commitment... and I have made my vow.



It look a looooong time to decide but part me of thinks that I have been preparing all my life for this and all I can say now is how wonderful it is to be with THE ONE... cariño mio, my Noodle Boy.

This year's Valentines Day is no different than any usual day spent with my Noodle Boy. Yes, I am crazy about him as he is head over heels in love with me. HAHAHA! But that's just my side of the story. Ask him what he has to say. I bet it just mirrors how I feel towards him. *sigh*

Love does come unexpectedly.



Oh, if it be to choose and call thee mine, love, thou art every day my Valentine! ♥ ♥ ♥



And so like any other day, our Valentines was filled with love, laughter, and fooooooood!





They say the only way to a man's heart is through his stomach. I bet Noodle Boy agrees. ;)

A few days ago I got a new toy from Sis Kim... Well, actually it serves a purpose so I'm not sure if it's just a toy this time. It's something I need additionally to get a head start on our newest biz... the Ramenoodles Photography.



If you're wondering why I got a D5000 like the rest of the human population, I'll tell you the same reason I told each and everyone of them who asked. "It's not the pana, it's the Indian."



I'm no gear head. To me it doesn't really matter that much because you can't be a good photographer if the magic isn't there. And I'd rather buy a prime lens over those higher-end dSLR bodies. In this case, the price of a D90 could already buy me this Nikon D5000 dual lens kit!



The 12.3-megapixel D5000 is small, shoots 720p HD videos, and has a swivel screen so it's perfect for taking self-timed shots and camwhoring!!!



So after 3 long years, I have decided to shift from being amateur to pro... Umm, I'm not really sure I qualify as a pro but well, I'd like to make a living out of the things I love to do. Take SALA Lounge + Café for example. Heck, I get to drink on the job! Ain't that something?

So back to photography, I've had a Nikon D40x for years and I only bought it because I wanted portraits with bokeh. So like before, I chose the D40x over the D80 and now I have just chosen the D5000 over the D90. Aside from the price difference, I don't really like those bigger dSLRs... Ever tried lugging one around your neck for hours? Man, those things are heaaavy! My face is so small, so those bigger cams can easily hide my entire head! LOL.. Picture me and a camera for a head. I don't wanna look like that when I take pictures. My subjects will probably laugh their heads off. Tee hee.

Well, what about that bokeh you ask? It's basically that blurry background you get thanks to the cam and lens of the dSLR. Point and shoot cams just don't get the job right (and I don't wanna PS all the time!) so I figured I must buy a dSLR for this. Honestly, that was all I was after. Man, I was such a camwhore before. Then I realized taking pictures of other people, places, and things is really quite interesting. So I studied further... not a lot but I think I've gotten far.

Last weekend we were at Atasha's birthday pool party. I took pictures for almost 6 hours! Yup, Noodle Boy and I were able to snap approximately 1,500 pictures that day. Tiring? Yes. Fun? Hell yeah!!! I didn't even mind the sunburns I got from the party! Silly me I forgot to put sunscreen/sunblock. You have to admit, kids are awesome and birthday party food is great! :) From the main course to overflowing desserts! I have a sweet tooth so it's a real treat for me. Noodle Boy, on the other hand, doesn't get all giddy at the sight of chocolates. So it's all mine!!! HAHAHA!

All in all, taking pictures of kids is really fun. And we got to watch a silly magic show during the party (save for the clowns that scared the hell out of me!) but then again, who can resist these!?





I guess I'll have to start checking my blood sugar levels now. Hehe.

However, with all the action with photography, I think I got all the exercise I need. :)
