The MyPhone Q21 Story
Sunday, January 03, 2010Just recently, a friend of mine told me about the new MyPhone Q21 series... that it now comes in red! *squeals*
And so naturally, I blurted out the things I love about my Q21... although it's a boring black. I've had it for more or less 6 months already and what can I say? I love this phone so much because it's QWERTY, it's DUAL SIM, and it's really cheap. Yeah, really. I got mine for less than 5K (say $100?)! And most people think it's a BlackBerry at first glance.
There's not much information about it on the web so I thought I should post something about it. Just when I was also ready to give up this phone for... eng eng eng... *drumrolls*... an iPhone 3Gs (ahem! soon!), techiegirlonline shared about a firmware upgrade. Knowing very little about it's OS, which I really think is quite similar to most china phones based on Nucleus OS, I have completely no idea how to tweak it. So I haven't really installed anything on it, much less have any idea where to get apps for it. Toink! So anyways, I should bring it to their service center in the city and upgrade to the latest firmware with its advancements/improvements and all. It should cost free because I think I'm still under warranty.
So anyways, my friend showed me the white version of the phone, which is now loaded with Pinoy stuffs. It's similar to the Ninoy/Cory collector's edition phones that came out, complete with audios of prayers and speeches. Honest patriotism or blatant commercialism?
Now the new Q21 phones come with a 2gb memory card; whereas when I bought mine, there was none of that.
And these new versions got apps already for Facebook, Friendster, Twitter, Ping.fm, Yahoo, and all the social networks a Pinoy could possibly have already signed up for. Tee hee. I know I could make use of. Let's just hope when I get my phone upgraded, it would come with all of that.
^_^
Today, when I transferred pictures from my camera, I found some "paparazzi" pics that my friend took while we were in my messy room and Noodle Boy came over so I ended up showing him the new Q21 as well. Honestly, we didn't know these pix were taken so it was quite funny (at least for me so stfu!) and I thought I should do some comic work with it. This was really the conversation we were having.
And yeah, I was still wearing my PJs.
