First Clicks Basic Photography Workshop invaded Ormoc City last October 8-10, 2010 to gather amateur photographers and enthusiasts for a weekend full of fun as they learned the basics of photography and take on fun shoots all over the city. This workshop is geared to enhance one’s skills in photography and also tries to prepare them for the more advanced learning options available.

Bobby and Marichu Campos with the assistance of Taloy Noval brought professional photographers, Joel Olivares and LenLen Lim, to Ormoc City. The twenty students of the workshop were taught the camera functions of their dSLRs, digital processing, editing and printing, as well as technical and creative angles, composition, and photo sharing.

Berndt Bodyflex Dance Studio was converted into a classroom where the students also got to practice action photography with the dancers. Product photography and digital processing lessons were taken up at a conference room in OCCCI.

The rain did not stop the students from doing a photowalk around the public market on the second day of the workshop for street photography. Then they proceeded to the Ormoc Gold Game Farm to shoot gamefowls for more action photography. A wonderful sunset photoshoot was done at Baybayon ni Agalon with local models. 




Food was plenty during the entire workshop thanks to Tempura Haus, Aldente RestoBar, and 8R’s Catering. More portrait photography, strobist portrait shooting and outdoor model night shoot took place at Sabin Resort Hotel on the third day that showcased designer gowns from Bong’s Wedding Essentials and More and Li Donne’ by Liza’s. Distribution of certificates also ensued after dinner.
