I admit. I am a sucker for anything Limited and Special Edition. With Missha coming out with the super cute Line Friends designs, no doubt I was all over it. Hey, I use Line Camera for their kawaii stamps and frames! So anyway, I got the makeup cosmetics with Brown (bear) but there's also the ones with Sally (yellow chick) and Cony (female rabbit).
I've been meaning to get Missha 4D mascara for a while now but with my current stash of mascara, I keep putting it off. But this I just had to get... and boy, it is surprisingly good! Really good considering that I have non-existent lashes to begin with (hello, Asian genes!)

Ooh, how I wish I had those fuller, thicker lashes. Maybe I should get lash extensions? But for now, this will do.
Moving on... We have the Bloody Wine Matte Lip Rouge Lipstick that's supposedly matte but I found it really moisturizing and not the dry type. So maybe it flaked by the end of the day, but the color is super vibrant and even made my thin lips look full... and kissable. ;) Wa'y mopalag!

And then lastly, I got the Missha Water-Full Tint, Special Line Friends Edition, in Orange Juice. Okay, honestly I'm not the lip/cheek tint fan but this one swayed me just because it's perfect for those casual/daily errands where it's just ridiculous to be on full makeup buying groceries or withdrawing from an ATM. Can you spell F-R-E-S-H?

PRODUCT FEATURE
Today I bring to you a review of Fay Jardin's Hair Removal Cream and Whitening Cream for Knees & Elbows which I've been sitting on for a while now and just had the time to publish. My apologies for the somewhat delayed blog post. Anyway, let's get the ball rolling.
The Fay Jardin Hair Removal Cream can work for both males and females. Do note that men's hair is relatively thicker compared to women's. But of course, that's subjective and really differs for each individual. For our tests, I did the armpit hair removal, NoodleBoy did the facial hair removal, and my friend Mary Anne did the body/leg hair removal tests.
The product claims to be safe to use with SGS Certification and based on our personal experiences, we did not have any adverse side effects. No burning, itching, or redness afterwards. If you have any allergies with the product ingredients, you might want to ask a skin expert before using it or do some skin testing first. It does, however, have a very strong scent to it, kinda like a hair perm solution. It's unpleasant for me but tolerable. So I suggest using this outside and not in a closed room with no air vents or windows.
Ingredients: De-ionized Water, Hydrogenated Olive Oil Decyl Esters , Dicaprylyl Carbonate, Sodium Stearoyl Glutamate , Cetearyl Glucoside (and) Cetearyl Alcohol, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cetyl Alcohol , Sodium Polyacrylate, Steareth-21, Calcium Hydroxide, Lactic acid, L-Sodium Lactate, Potassium Hydroxide, 1.3-Propanediol, Chlorphenesin, Phenoxyethanol , Fragrance.
Unwanted body hair? The Fay Jardin Hair Removal Cream and Whitening Cream for Knees & Elbows got you covered... like literally cover then uncover, if you dig. The application is so easy and the results are pretty cool. I have used hair removal creams in the past, mainly out of curiosity instead of the need because I really don't have much hair to remove. Compared to the ones I've tried before, this is more affordable and easy to come by thanks to Shopping99PH, where the Fay Jardin Whitening Hair Removal Set can be purchased.

I know the English product details and instructions may not be all clear on their website (understandable for products that are imported from Taiwan) so let me just break it down for you.
Steps as easy as 1-2-3:
1. Apply the product generously on clean skin. You want to cover up everything and get to the base of the hair shaft.
2. Depending on the thickness/coarseness of the hair to be removed, I find that the waiting time varies. But if you want a guide, it should be at least 30 minutes to make sure the product works its magic!
3. Simply remove with a spatula or tissues. We used a small plastic spoon to get the job done fast and easily!

So basically, what the Fay Jardin Whitening Cream for Knees & Elbows does is pretty obvious from the product title. It claims to turn your knees and elbows lighter. The science behind it is pretty simple and it's all thanks to CoQ10 as the main ingredient with anti-aging effect (you know, antioxidants and all), tranexamic acid for whitening, plus Monaco argan extract, shea nut oil, and glycerine to keep your skin moisturized deeply. Also quite surprised that this product actually smells good.
If you scroll down below in the Before and After photos' section, you can see how effective it is when used. My friend Marilyn was kind enough to be my guinea pig for this product so we can test it out on different skin types.

My armpit's "chicken skin" isn't so obvious unlike after shaving, although there may be a couple of hair that may not be totally removed. Still the fact remains that there's no sting afterwards and such that it is absolutely painless makes it worth trying out.

Korean makeup is love, don't you agree? Oops My Lip Tint Pack by Berrisom is definitely no exception because true to its claims, this lip product lasts amazingly for 12 hours! Don't you just love eating or drinking without having to worry about your lipstick smearing all over your face, or worse, get all patchy and gone by the time you take that last bite? It's also perfect for swimming as the lip tint doesn't rub off!
I received this set with 6 gorgeous colors from Bien's Beauty Bliss. Oops My Lip Tint Pack by Berrisom is an authentic Korean product and the first and original lip tint tattoo. You can buy it for PHP 450 per tube or you can get it for a bargain by getting the whole set for just PHP 1,750 (roughly PHP 292 each!). The colors in this set include: Virgin Red, Vivid Scarlet, Lovely Peach, Pure Pink, Bubble Pink, and Sexy Red.
Now let me show you how truly awesome these babies are. Check out my photos below and find out what's my favorite color(s) at the end! Photos are taken under natural light during the crazy hot summer afternoons.
1. VIRGIN RED (Real Red) - Strong red color; vivid and bright red color

I fan my lips or stay in front of the electric fan to help it dry faster and minimize waiting time, but the peeling part is really fun and exciting! I have been super busy the past weeks trying to juggle all my work and home schedule that I have been completely missing so much sleep (hello, graveyard shift, we meet again!) that it's not even funny. The adjustment period may have been easier 5 years ago but alas, time has caught up with me and I am not as young as I used to be. I just turned 32 though, got no shame in admitting that, but because I currently lead a fairly sedentary lifestyle, I am so not fit right now.
Anyways, moving on to this week's product highlight. And yes, there's a reason why I am telling you all that introduction. If you've read my recent blog entry about getting the new Crizal Prevencia lenses, then you know that I do value my health, my eyes in particular because without it, how am I supposed to work in the first place? So okay, do you remember how your parents or people who care about you tell you that you're not supposed to wash your face when you haven't had any sleep? I don't know the science behind that but there's no harm in taking precautions. (It really is better than cure, you know!)
So how am I supposed to wash my face without getting it wet?
TA-DAH! Introducing the all-new Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleansing Cloths!
Cetaphil is a product known for being recommended mostly to people who have sensitive skin especially babies. Although I think everyone agrees that Cetaphil is synonymous to gentleness and what better product to assure you of something like that!?
I've tried makeup-up wipes before that gave me those tiny rashes after I used them and they're not even cheap! A pack of Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleansing Cloths only costs PHP 235.
The fact that I need not wash my face after wiping all the makeup off and getting rid of the dirt before hitting the sack is something I really need. For me, Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleansing Cloths definitely save the day (literally, because that's when I sleep!). It's non-comedogenic (yay, for acne-prone skin!), fragrance-free and pH balanced... and the best part is it's also opthalmologist-tested! Hurrayyy for my eyes!!! It was able to get rid of the waterproof mascara I was wearing, but then again I was just wearing a single coat. It did wipe off my concealer, foundation, and eyebrow gel completely! Plus it does contain soothing ingredients which make it possible to cleanse without stripping your skin dry and leaves it feeling fresh and clean!
Also since this product is pre-moistened, it's truly convenient and perfect for when you're out and about or when you're traveling... or if you have a son who refuses to eat without a tissue or napkin in his hand. Check out our little NoodleLito (see GIF pic below and find out why we call him just that). Tee hee.
I'm happy to say we are successfully bringing him up with proper table etiquette by using a napkin or tissue to wipe his face/mouth whenever he eats. Although being the little señorito that he is, he still wants to be spoon-fed. *rolls eyes*

Take for example, the April BDJ BOX that came with so many new beauty and skincare items I need to explore.

1. Of course, I had to the pick the most interesting makeup item in the box first and it's no other than the Revlon Highlighting Palette. Ever since I tried it, I can't go out without putting some of it. It's just the right amount of highlighting I need to look like a million bucks. I mean, come on. You don't want a spotlight on your face, but the subtle yet still obvious effect that this product leaves on your face is spot on. It makes you look younger with healthy almost Korean-like skin. I love it, i love it, i love it! One more time, I LOVE IT! Even though it's a bit expensive at PHP625.
2. Well, well, well, what have we here? MyChoice Anti Acne Whitening Facial Cream. For acne-prone gals like me, this is something that primarily caught my attention. My search for anti-acne products will never be over I believe. For only PHP100 per 20g tube, this product is definitely something worth trying. It's very affordable and I'm happy to report I used this before Aunt Flo came for her monthly visit and I really didn't get any breakouts! This contains AHA and BHA that desquamate acne gently withing causing skin irritation. The only thing I don't like about this one is the smell. It's quite negligible but it bothers me just a little bit. It's not strong per se, but it reminds me of a wet rag. That might not be the best description really but when it comes to being effective, it's just a small trade-off.
3. Next we have the Asian Secrets Lulur Whitening Body Scrub. Also very affordable at only PHP15 per 20mL! I love skin exfoliators because it keeps my skin soft and smooth to the touch. The "beads" in this formula doesn't hurt my skin when I scrub it and it also smells very nice. So yes, I highly recommend this if you're looking for an affordable scrub. As for whitening? Well, it makes sense that washing away dead skin cells will sooner or later reveal fairer skin. No surprises there.
4. Following the body scrub of course is the Asian Secrets Lulur Whitening Facial Scrub. It retails for just PHP120 per 100g tube! My, my, that's a lot of product for its price! I have to admit this one has become my daily facial scrub. I know they say you should use exfoliators 2-3 x a week only but because it makes my skin feel so smooth, I just have to use it daily. Although I don't really scrub my face like I scrub my bathroom floor, so I like to think I'm not I stripping away the essential oils on my face. I love the smell also and it does brighten my face after every wash.
5. Now we have FS Cosmetics Lash Extravagance Mascara. Every since discovering Fanny Serrano products like their two-way cake foundation, their gel liners, and their eyelash curler, I have become a fan. Their products are made of high quality materials, great for Asian skin, and also very affordable. This mascara costs PHP350 and quite comparable to Maybelline's classic ones. It's great at lengthening and volumizing. However, I need a curling mascara due to my short lashes. I wouldn't throw this one away just yet since I could always use my HG curling mascaras then top them off with this FS one.
6. And then there's the Tony Moly Intense Care Snail Foot Mask. This costs PHP198 for a pair. I thought it was going to be like the Foot Appeal Peeling socks but it's not. It's very cool to the skin and did make my tired feet feel refreshed and relaxed after a standing for 3 hours that day. I didn't experience any peeling but it really made my feet feel very soft.
7. Last but not the least, we have MyChoice Bubble Shower Salt 2-in-1 scrub. Another very affordable product at only PHP100. Does it work? It does what scrubs do best. Do I need this? Not really. Do I like it? I prefer the Asian Secrets Lulur body scrub. The biggest turn off for me was the tube. If it had come in a tub, it would be easier to get the product out. I had to use a stick to get the powder out and then it reminded me of detergent. Nevertheless, it also left my skin feeling smooth and soft.
So that completes my 7-day challenge with my April BDJ BOX. I'm sad thinking I won't be doing the May challenge since I wasn't able to subscribe to it at www.bdjbox.com. I guess we'll have to wait for June for another round of beauty discovery. So until then!
