Red Hot Valentines Day! ♥

This year's Valentine's Day sucked... NOT!!! This was the most pricele$$ Valentines Day ever... in my history! :P

It was totally unexpected. Nothing was planned. (The fishball part didn't happen one bit!) Everything was as spontaneous as it could get. Even the whole flowers and chocolate moment, it left me stammering and at a loss for words. I didn't know what to say. I mean, I'm not the type of girl you give chocolates and flowers to because first of all, I have realized long before that VDAY is a spawn of commercialism and all the hype is nothing but a cunning capitalist scheme really. However, this year's VDAY was a total romantic opportunity (especially for my Udon Boy) and aside from the fact that EVERYDAY IS VALENTINES DAY for us, this day definitely went down to our books by absolutely showing love, seeing love, and feeling all the love.
Now let the pictures speak for themselves.

Words do help but okay, here's the story. Just when I got ready to hit the fishball stand (I could taste the mouth-watering sauce already), the clever Noodle Boy called around lunch time and told me he's picking me up because we're having a REAL lunch together. I was like, "Uhhh you mean like a full course meal kinda thing?" I can hear him nod from the other end so yeah, I changed to a more appropriate "lunch date" attire. Not in a dress because I don't do dresses either. I thought maybe I should just wear red for the day... and be like most people who are "WANTED".

And what do you know? Boyfriend took me to a restaurant where we had the whole place to ourselves. Okay, maybe because it was an hour past 12 when we got there... you know, being the girl that I am, it took me that long to get changed. :P
Food was ready when we arrived. Nothing more exciting than grilled prawns in lemon butter sauce, kinilaw, and some crispy pata. Alright, so maybe he didn't go all the way and got us caviar and fois gras (as if you can really find that in Ormoc!), but this meal was absofckinglutely awesome! We just had to order extra rice. ^_^

By the time I was stuffed and burping like crazy, Noodle Boy held my hand and said, "I'm sorry I'm not really good at this." He claims it's his first real Valentines Day date *ever*. Okay, okay. Ask him if you don't believe me. Then out of the blue, he magically pulled out a bouquet of flowers from under the table and a box (or can) of chocolates! WTF!

My expression was priceless or so he told me later on when he saw me BLUSH for the first time ever since we've known each other for the past TWENTY FRIGGIN' THREE (23) years! Good heavens! It never occurred to me, really, that he had some tricks up his sleeve. Not an inkling! I swear, man... I felt ambushed. >.<

We drove around the city the rest of the afternoon, for what seemed like forever, not really knowing where to go... but I couldn't care less. I was with the love of my life! Even though Noodle Boy kept talking endlessly about how I reacted when he gave me the flowers and the chocolates telling me that it was really priceless... (and for everything else, there's Mastercard!) Haha!

So what did I get for him? Nothing that money can buy. A labor love I'd like to call it. Here's a clue:

Now, he didn't see that one coming. ^_^

Because I was feeling loved and all, I did what I do best. Whine and act like a big baby? NO! I decided to go ahead and make my Noodle Boy dinner. Yes, I can cook! I'm not good for nothing, you know.

I make absolutely delicious fried chicken and mind-blowing gravy! I'm not kidding. My cousins would ask me to make some for them when I was living in Cebu before. You gotta try it!

After all that heavy lunch we had, I could hardly believe Noodle Boy finished more than a platter of rice for dinner! Such is a man who is in love, huh? And the only way to get to a guy's heart is through his stomach they say! Tee hee!

Haaayy... gugma. ♥

Don't you just love Valentines Day? Makes you act all corny. But who the heck cares? I'M IN LOVE. So bug off if you don't understand what it's like...

I love Valentines Day.
But most of all, I love Cariño Mio!

Spread the LOVE!
