Makeup Theme: Red, white, & blue! Happy 4th of July!
Thursday, July 04, 2013It's so weird because I live halfway across the world but the 4th of July is a significant day for me just like any American citizen. Main reason: It's a holiday. Meaning, I have no work. Well, technically it should be July 5th here, but whatever. It's also the day Noodle Boy and I got together and started dating exclusively in 2009, which was like 4 years ago. Weh!?
Anyways, I decided to play around with makeup. So what else is new? Well, this one is! For me, at least. Every time I go to our local department store, I always see a lot of sales ladies wearing blue eyeshadow and I'm like, "That's so 80s!" Perhaps, they're required to wear blue eyeshadow, noh? Now I asked myself, is there a way that people in this era can actually wear blue eyeshadow and not look like Cyndi Lauper? Maybe there is! So I decided to just give it a go.
So here's my 4th of July makeup tribute.

Honestly, it was a bit tricky to blend the shadows as I'm not a pro at this and I just became a real makeup junkie. In fairness, I think I did a great job with my eye makeup. Wa'y magbuot. Tee hee! I used the following brushes to make sure I got it right and exactly the way I wanted it to be.
Again, I'm still learning how to apply makeup properly so if you have any suggestions and advice for me please feel free to leave a comment after this post. I would really appreciate it. :)
So that's all for now. How's your 4th of July coming along? Will you be or are you celebrating it, too? :)
